V & V Miniatures are, I believe, a Ukrainian company who currently produce a small but interesting range of Vikings. (Thanks to Evgeniy for the info!)
Looking for 28mm historical miniature figures? This blog is a database of manufacturers showing who makes what. I am also adding photos showing figures from different makers side by side. The 'Directory' tab has a list of manufacturers showing what ranges they make and a link to their website. The other tabs list what figures are available for that period.

Update to Manufacturers Directory
Catching up with a couple of changes today.
A while ago Musketeer Miniatures was bought by / merged with Footsore Miniatures. Both ranges are now available through a nice new Footsore Miniatures website and the old Musketeer site has been closed.
The Directory has been updated to reflect this.

Update to Manufacturers Directory
An update today to add Warbases to the Directory.
They mainly sell buildings and accessories but now produce a small range of their own figures. The focus is on providing crew and passengers for their MDF wagons and vehicles. There is also a nice range based on the Three Musketeers.

Update to Manufacturers Directory
Another update to the Directory today.
I have added Unfeasibly Miniatures to the Directory. They make a range of late 19th Century colonial figures. Mostly French Foreign Legion in North Africa at the moment, but they are adding German Empire as well. A couple of nice Laurel and Hardy Legionnaire figures caught my eye...!

Update to Manufacturers Directory
A quick update to the Manufacturers Directory today.
A new company, Ironclad Miniatures has been added. They do ranges for the Second Anglo-Afghan War, the Boxer Rebellion, and A Very British Civil War. Also a Victorian Steampunk range which may have some figures usable in a historical setting!

I've been a bit busy over the summer and haven't updated the blog for a while. So I'm pleased to report that the Manufacturers Directory has just had a couple of new entries in the form of Iron Duke Miniatures and Under Fire Miniatures!

Female Figures
An area that I have not yet explored is the availability of female figures in 28mm. To be honest, they were way down on my list as I still have a lot of categories to sort!
It is with great pleasure then, that I can report that someone else is doing all the hard work instead! The estimable Dice Bag Lady has just launched a new section of her site focusing on Female Miniatures. Not only are there plenty of photos but you can also buy direct from her page!
