Looking for 28mm historical miniature figures? This blog is a database of manufacturers showing who makes what. I am also adding photos showing figures from different makers side by side. The 'Directory' tab has a list of manufacturers showing what ranges they make and a link to their website. The other tabs list what figures are available for that period.

Musketeer Miniatures Dark Ages Range
Musketeer Miniatures make a smallish but nice range of Dark Ages figures. They concentrate on two main areas, the early Anglo-Saxon/Romano-British/Arthurian era, and the East with Byzantines and Arabs. There is also a colourful blog with plenty of excellent photos of the Company's figures. Distribution is handled by Gripping Beast so orders should arrive quickly and accurately!
The sculpts are well posed with some nicely animated leader and personality figures in particular. Weapons and shields are separate, with shields included in the pack.
And now the comparison photos....
First up we have, from left to right, Musketeer, Artizan Designs, and Crusader Miniatures.
Next, from left to right, is Musketeer, Curteys Miniatures, and Dixon Miniatures.

Here is Musketeer, Gripping Beast plastic range, and Newline Designs.
From left to right, Musketeer, Redoubt Enterprises, and Renegade Miniatures.
Below is Musketeer, Shieldwall Miniatures, and Tanatus Miniatures.
